I’m a Consultant Solicitor with Taylor Bracewell LLP in Sheffield where I specialise in Digital Law. This includes legal issues relating to websites, social media, data protection, privacy and security. I also deal with resolving commercial disputes as a whole.  I represent Yorkshire on the Law Council of the Law Society of Engalnd and Wales at Chancery Lane in London, and I’m also a member of the Technology & Law Reference Group. In addition,  I’m a member of the American Bar Association with a seat on the International Committee of the ABA GP Solo Division. I have also attended American Bar Conferences in the United States since 2005.
Previously I’ve been Secretary – General of the European Young Bar Association, a founder of the Junior Lawyers Division of the Law Society and chair of the Trainee Solicitors Group. In Sheffield I’ve also been Business Director for JCI Sheffield from 2007 – 2010.
I’ve spoken at Conferences and events around the Country on a range of subjects from Legal Career development, Business Development skills, CV and Interviewing skills and Alternative Legal Careers. I completed a speaking tour in April 2010 of JLDs in Manchester, Preston, Liverpool and Sheffield on the subject of Advanced legal Career Development. I have also spoken on using social networking sites like LinkedIn for Business Development purposes.
This site draws together everything from Twitter to Linked – In to Facebook, along with my Law Society Council Member Blog, with the bonus of being able to add further material on just about any subject. I hope that it will evolve in due course into a useful resource, particularly for anyone looking to enter the legal profession or find out more about the provision of Legal Services.
In addition to the professional side of things,  I enjoy travelling, in particular to Formula 1 Grands Prix around the world and also work out using the P90X system from the US.
This site represents entirely the views of the Author and are not those of the Law Society or Taylor Bracewell LLP
